Combining Different FREOR Product Lines in Intermarche Supermarket

FREOR recently installed an Intermarche store in São Brás de Alportel town, Portugal. This project showcases how our commercial refrigeration equipment complements each other perfectly, allowing to pair units from different product categories and even lines. By combining FREOR standard refrigeration units with our NEW DESIGN LINE refrigeration equipment, we were able to create a unique and efficient Intermarche store layout.

Refrigeration equipment from NEW DESIGN LINE

Going for a modern, dark-colored design, the supermarket primarily chose NEW DESIGN LINE refrigeration equipment, which was created for modern retailers’ needs. They implemented the multidecks NDL JUPITER for fresh products and drinks display and qubic design self-service counters NDL IDA QB for promotional product displays, creating an appealing product presentation in the supermarket. The minimalistic straight-line design of the NDL equipment makes it easily adaptable to any store design.

Refrigeration equipment from standard FREOR line

VEGA QB H1 and H2 serve-over from the standard FREOR line was implemented to fulfill all the wanted store layout needs. The counters with additional display levels provides maximum visibility at the customer’s eye level, ensuring convenient shopping. Additionally, the store implemented an upright freezer DELTA, which combines the benefits of a chest freezer and freezer cabinet for frozen products, offering significant loading capacity and the ability to display products with various packages. Though the freezer was purchased before the release of the NEW DESIGN LINE, Intermarché, committed to sustainability, chose to modify and repurpose it for this project.

Synergy Between Different Product Lines

All commercial refrigeration equipment from both product lines was selected in dark colors, creating a unified visual identity. Using the same color for the refrigeration equipment ensured that different product lines complemented each other, resulting in a harmonious and appealing look throughout the store. Furthermore, the DELTA upright display freezer was upgraded with a NEW DESIGN LINE four-level bumper to integrate the design further and achieve a more seamless design between the refrigeration units.

The ability to choose any color from the RAL palette for FREOR products, combined with the option for custom modifications, allows for the creation of a synergized visual identity. By reusing and upgrading their existing DELTA freezer, Intermarché not only enhanced the store’s aesthetic but also demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability by reducing waste.
